I’ve been working on dry-wall repair, trying to get the high parts done first.
We’re making progress!
It was very good to visit with our friends Dustin and Rachel and their children.

Your peonies are gorgeous. I’ve had two pop up around our place–one in the woods and one in the middle of the big evergreen bush in our yard. I mean right smack in the middle of it. I’ve heard these things don’t transplant well so it looks like the squirrels in my area have had a lot of good luck.

I love peonies!! Colin says they smell of roses. We ended up with some buds in the spring where we wanted to put grass, and not knowing or caring much what they were, Colin was going to toss them. I feel across them, shielding them with my body. NOOO!!! Just put the over there. Who knows what they are, yet? And sure enough, gorgeous peonies. Behind the garage and right by the compost. Yup, totally invisible to the rest of the yard. And they transplanted, with the hosta and lilies we also didn’t know about, just fine!! 🙂
I love our gardens. We’re slowly doing what we can and we’re addicted!! We want to make it a haven back there, as though we’re stepping into another world…
