Work, work, work!
I just got home from work. This is my third 14 hour day in a row, I think I need to cut back. The good news is that the gallery lights are working. What genius move made them work you ask? I have no idea.
So yesterday I kept going back to the lights every few hours, as new ideas about trouble shooting came to me. Nothing worked. At one point I was irritated with a light-switch I installed, it was upside down (on was down, off was up). So I turned it over and put it back into the box, and then all the lights worked. Though I was tempting fate, I pulled the switch out and checked all the connections – everything good. So….the lights work. No idea why they didn’t before, or why they do now. But they do, and the room looks great. I’ll be making a website for the gallery soon – I’m starting it tomorrow, I hope to have it done tomorrow too, I’ll post the link when I have it done. So the lights are hung, the art is hung, the work title cards are in place, all that is left is for the artists approval. Who knows if I’ll get that or not. These artsy types, you know how they are (hey pot? it’s kettle calling…).
In any case, my dad went to the doctor today and I don’t know how that went yet, so pray for him. For a surreal moment I searched for their house on a Canadian Realty page. It is strange to see my childhood home for sale! It must be very difficult for my parents too, they built that home a year before I was born. It will be difficult to say goodbye to that place. They have a condo picked out, I can’t quite find it online, but I’ll post the link soon.
That’s it for tonight.
