le lierre -The Ivy

Here is a superfast update on the continuing saga of The Ivy.  Now you all have learned, along with Jan, how to say “ivy” in French since I am yelling at it so much while he watches and politely refrains from snickering.  Anyway, today I went to deal with the patch under the huge branch that came down and the section on the north side of the house.  The patch is dealt with.  No problem.  The north side, well, The Ivy/Le Lierre recruited bees this time to stop me.  Amazing how effective a bee sting is as a deterrent.  If The Ivy had tried this in the beginning, I might have left it alone forever.  But it didn’t so I won’t.  I will avoid the section with the bees nest in it however.  Just thought you’d like to know the new lows this plant has sunk to.
