And so, we wait
Wendy’s doctor appointment yesterday was not terribly exciting. The midwife said she’s one centimetre dilated, and that the baby is sitting VERY low (apparently his head is “right there!”), and Wendy is thinning all on her own. Okay. That’s great. GIMME A BABY! yeah, we’re as ready as we’re ever going to get. Let’s get this show on the road.
Still nothing on the house we’re buying. Stupid stupids. We’re determined to hang in there though. We have a generous offer of a place to stay and a place to put our stuff and all that…It theoretically sounds possible. We’ll get through. Wendy and I are remarkably laid back about this, normally I’d be all hyperactive cause I don’t feel in control. Somehow this all feels like it will be okay. I think our small group is largely responsible for this feeling of well being.
The home inspection on our 30th street house turned out to be not great. Over all fine, but they found a crack in the heat-exchanger in our furnace. We haven’t heard yet if they’re asking for repairs at all, but I assume they will ask for this to be fixed. Yikes! I guess it is all just money, right? Ouch, though. Our former neighbour, Tim, who is a furnace guy, is coming by tonight to have a good look at it. I’m hoping he says he has the part from another job and we can salvage the furnace and not have to replace the whole thing.
okay, more later?
