Florida fun, and thanks for all the fish
Florida has been wonderful – the first day we were here was raining, but we sat and relaxed on the covered balcony (known here as the lanai) in our shorts and t-shirts. A great way to recuperate from Holy Week.
Then the fun begain! Yesterday we went fishing on a big-boat with a lot of people. When I saw how many were going, I didn’t think it was going to be much fun. However, we all had a blast (me, Wendy, Jeff, and Anna – Jan L. took care of Jan for us so we could go). I had the magic, and I seemed to be constantly pulling up a fish. We caugh lots of Silver Snapper and a few Porgys (keepers), as well as many too-small red groupers, and even a couple of puffer fish. We kept the ones that were worth it, and threw a bunch back. We ended up with around 30 keepers. That’s some good fishing!
It was also fun being on the boat. Lovely day. Not too hot, not too cold, and lots of smiles all around.
Once we got back with all our fish, we had the pros clean the fish, as it would have taken us forever. While I stood in line for a long time doing that, Wendy took some great photos of the MANY birds around the docks.
Yesterday evening we went to the pool at Jeff’s parents condo. it was fun, and Jan loved it. After the initial shock, he got right into the splashing.
more later from today’s grand adventures.
