Narcotics can be your friend

As soon as the water was broken the pain became quite a bit more intense.  Wendy stuck it out for an hour but then she wanted some help.  She’s very reluctant to get an epidural, so before trying that Kristin gave her a shot of Nubain through the IV.  It is helping a lot – even if it just allows her to relax between contractions (which are a full minute long and about 2.5 minutes apart).

Wendy is amazing.
