Jan and Lexie

So every child has an accident some time or another; it’s bound to happen, sure as God made little boys.  Today was Jan’s day.  Our nice daycare lady, Ruth, has a lovely, calm golden retriever named Lexie.  Or at least she would have been lovely and calm if Jan had not taken a flying leap onto her when she wasn’t expecting.  I think she did what any dog and probably a good number of humans would do and that is, react badly.  So Jan has learned the hard way to be gentle.  He has two stitches on his chin and several other cuts and abrasions.  Here are some photos of the wounded soldier:

dsc_0001.JPG Feeling a little worse for wear.  Anesthetic jabs are not his favourite.

dsc_0003.JPG  Slightly closer up so you can see the stitches on the bottom left of his chin.

dsc_0004.JPG   It looks worse than it is.  But it doesn’t look good does it?

Hopefully he has learned his lesson. He’s sitting watching Mickey Mouse at the moment and eating an apple, so either the anesthetic hasn’t worn off or he has a great resistance to pain.  He seems pretty calm.  We aren’t worried.
