Thanksgiving and fun times

That’s right folks, it was Thanksgiving weekend this weekend and boy did we eat a lot.  We cooked and cooked and cleaned and  then ate and ate and ate.  We can heartily recommend the sweet potatoes, pecans and parmesan dish as well as the fennel, apricot and pecorino salad.  Boy I think I ate all that salad.  Sooooo good.  In any case, we had loads of people and they all ate and talked and drank and it was great.  Here is a photo of the face-stuffing (with stuffing, ha ha ha).

So there we all are, eating.  They are all friends from church along with associated others.  This is the next thing we did this weekend:

It was Jan’s first time on skates and boy did he have fun.  He laughed even when he fell.  He thought it was great.  He couldn’t go very long because we were practically hauling his arms out of the sockets trying to keep him upright.  He loved to jump on his skates so that made it hard to hang on to him.  But he did have some times of gliding along which he was very proud of.

And here he is with the obligatory hot chocolate afterwords:

He had to clap his hands after every swallow.  He really liked that too.  Generally a great weekend.
