from the awesome husband…

I’m a bit sheepish posting…hard to live up to the accolades my wife gives me!  I do the easy stuff. I didn’t have to push out a baby, or heal from that, or produce milk, or any of that stuff.  Jan is great, and that’s cause Wendy’s excellent.  So there you go, it seems we’re all rock-stars here.

Brief house news – not much new, except it seems the bank made a clerical error and accepted our first offer (much lower!) and are still offering closing costs and tax money.  We’re really getting the house for a bargain price, after all costs and everything it looks like our cost is going to be about 141,000$.  Not bad!  we’re really happy, and we just can’t wait to get to it.  We have grand plans, and the cheaper price helps us to move forward just a little faster with some new flooring.  My free time for the next couple of years is now spoken for…and I love it. 🙂

Other news – my parents will be here for Jan’s baptism, which will be May 11.  I’m so glad they can be here.  I’m very much looking forward to seeing them, and I’m so grateful to them for making the trip.  Hopefully we can get our agent to let them walk through the new house too!

My concert last night was…hard to describe.  Musically it went fine.  The choir did adequately, the brass players were pretty spectacular.  Everyone had a few errors (me too, of course), but it was a very emotional concert for me.  I don’t know if it was because I’m tired, or an extra-sensitive new dad, or what, but I was hit several times during the concert with overwhelming emotion.  Happiness, contentment, satisfaction, and more helped form tears in my eyes.  Fortunately concentration kicked in and I kept everyone under control.  I’ll post the recording on my website soon.

Some new pictures at jansimeon.davidbanga.com      Have a good night.
