Grandparents everywhere!
My parents were able to come down and visit from Canada! They came last night, quite a big effort for them, Dad isn’t too comfortable in the car right now. We certainly appreciate their willingness to travel to us, as we simply can’t get to them just now.
Jan is doing great, so is Wendy. We’re actually feeling pretty well rested, and he’s eating well and filling out. I think it is easy to see he’s already gained weight and length. Everything is going well, so let’s hope this continues! Wendy has felt pretty well, Tuesday night we went for about a five mile walk, and we walked a ways again today with my parents.
In other news, our house on 30th street is no longer our house. We closed on that house today, met the new owners and all that, and it all went smoothly and perfectly. We made a good profit, and the paperwork is all done. We did not get our house on Mercury drive today. Apparently that house is not quite in foreclosure yet, it is listed as short sale. That means the woman that owns it still has to sign off. She’s had the paper to sign for a while, and she was given an overnight bag to put it in and get to us. However, she “couldn’t be bothered” (her words) to do it until late this morning. So now we’re scheduled to close on Monday a 4 PM, can’t be earlier. I know I’m supposed to be good and charitable, but my thoughts toward this woman have been less than charitable today, and I’m pretty sure will continue to be even more vitriolic as the weekend drags on. It isn’t that big a deal, really, closing only three days later.
I added some pictures at http://jansimeon.davidbanga.com/pictures.html of my parents and Jan. I have some of Wendy’s parents to add too, I’ll do it tomorrow. Have a good night. And congrats to Ken and Gail on selling their house! Your new place looks spectacular.
